Apologies for the delay in updating this blog. The last 3 weeks brought many ups and downs to the Mercury Rising Team. For those who have been following the story of Kerry, please see Sara's blog for an update. This sad news has effected many in our group and the triathlon community in Calgary as a whole.

In terms of racing, last weekend Megan Jones WON HER AGE GROUP at Invermere Olympic distance having just bounced back from a cold. Carlos Vilchez has had 2 great race weekends back to back, placing 11th overall at a sprint race in Ontario at the end of a big week, then blew the doors off his goal of going 3h30 at Muskoka Long Course today with a 3h23.
Many of us have just returned from PHAT CAMP in Penticton. What an awesome week we had! The athletes were all substantially fitter than in previous years. Honestly, it was hard not to be proud of their efforts. What a great group. Here are a few shots...
On the 2nd day of the camp, we did the SUPER PHAT SUPER SPRINT race which included a 200m swim, 9k bike and 1200m run, three times through.
Take your marks...
Thursday we hit the track for 8x 1k.
The shoes waiting in "t2" after a quick loop of the IMC course...
And we're done...
Awesome!
